Man uses iPhone to revive bird

Posted on 11th May 2012 by Nexus Admin in Uncategorized - Tags: ,

It’s hard to imagine a period before cell phones. Our own phones and each of our apps are capable of doing almost anything. Even saving lifestyles across species. They are truly powerful devices.

United kingdom tree surgeon Leon Timms identified a tiny chaffinch lying on the floor. It is thought that the particular bird flew to the solar panels on Timms’ roof or hit one among his windows. The particular bird was dazed along trouble breathing. So Leon brought it in to his home and also started to stroke the bird, hoping to revive it. Luckily he his smartphone together with him.

It could be chance, but that would seem unlikely. At least one chicken owes it’s life to this application now.

“I brought the chaffinch inside and started stroking him on my lap, and then I came up with the idea of playing it the sound of another chaffinch on my mobile phone app. I popped the app on and almost immediately the bird’s eyes opened and he seemed to become more alert … It definitely responded to the sound of another chaffinch.”

Draw Something Tops 50 Million Downloads

Posted on 3rd April 2012 by Nexus Admin in Uncategorized - Tags: , ,

Draw Something is a popular cell phone game where you play with your friends by guessing what they have drawn and drawing something for them to guess. The game was created by OMGPOP- a company that has been bought by Zynga a month ago in a deal which is reported to be worth $180 million, and the free and paid versions are said to be making around $250,000 per day of revenue. It has become a phenomenon and has reached 50 million downloads in just a matter of 50 days. Cool huh? It is such an awesome feat and if the game continues at this rate, most often than not, it could end up being as popular as Angry Birds.
